Loch Trool (Trout Fishing)
This loch is just off of the A714 between Newton Stewart and Girvan, approximately 10 miles north west of Newton Stewart turn right towards Loch Trool visitors centre. This is clearly signposted.


Loch Trool is one of many beauty spots in South West Scotland and is also the home of Bruce's Stone an ancient battle site, the loch itself is surrounded by hills on 3 sides and a moor at the bottom end gives a pleasant ripple effect on the water, good for coarse fishing.

The loch is primarily coarse fish and which are good fighters. The loch is also plentiful in native brown trout which are a pleasure to fish for.
